Snowman Subitizing

I love subitizing on the Promethean board because the students can come up to the board and manipulate it to show their thinking. I also added a make ten addition flipchart to practice seeing ten when adding two numbers. The students can have their our double ten frame on their desk for practice and then come up and drag a copy of the snowman to show how they made a ten.

Gingerbread Man Activities

I folded a 6x15 inch piece of paper and then traced a gingerbread man die cut onto it. When it was cut out it created a shape book. I shrunk the cards below to 50 percent to fit on the belly. Adding eyes and decorating the outside would be cute but we ran out of time.

I also made a gingerbread man flipchart with subitizing, make ten addition and story problems.

Within Word Pattern Flipcharts and ClassFlow

ClassFlow is a free program where you can upload Promethean Board Flipcharts and each student can get that flipchart on their iPad. I uploaded word sorts so I can easily switch the sort for each group.

This is what it looks like on my laptop but you can also do it right from your Promethean board.
When you stop the session you can see each students flipchart on your teacher screen. I think the Teacher App lets you do it from another iPad.
