Contraction Fun

This was a fun way to practice contractions.
Give two students a card with a word on it without them looking at it. The class has to figure out the contraction and then raise their hand. I called on someone to tell them the contraction. The two students had to look at each other and figure out what word they were to make that contraction.

We also practiced contractions using soccer kicks and basketball moves. My little friend will show you how:

We watched the contraction PowerPoint and did soccer kicks to it. It was a fun way to move and learn!
