Verbs in ART

 

 

Together we looked at an art print for verbs. I wrote the things they saw on a post it. In groups the students looked at an art piece and then they wrote a verb on a post it and put it next to the action in the picture.

 

When they were finished they presented them to the class, pointing out each action verb.

They LOVED it!

We learned about verbs and came up with a list of verbs on the board. Each student was given a verb and had to make their Aluminum Foil man in that position.

 

We cut up a piece of Aluminum Foil to make an abstract person. We scrunched up the arms first then the head and the split legs at the bottom last.

Pantomime a Verb

We learned about Action Verbs and then played a game of charades with verb cards. One student came up and had to read the card and then act it out for the class. The class had to try and guess what verb it was.
