Gingerbread Man Activities

I folded a 6x15 inch piece of paper and then traced a gingerbread man die cut onto it. When it was cut out it created a shape book. I shrunk the cards below to 50 percent to fit on the belly. Adding eyes and decorating the outside would be cute but we ran out of time.

I also made a gingerbread man flipchart with subitizing, make ten addition and story problems.

Gingerbread Man

We made gingerbread houses and a gingerbread village.
We learned about cardinal directions.
One student gave cardinal directions from his house to another students house. The other student had to listen to the directions and drive a car on the streets to his house.
We voted on what our street names should be.

We measured things around the room with gingerbread men.

We went on a gingerbread hunt to look for the cookies I had made. When we got back they were sitting in our room, ready to decorate.
