Butterfly Life Cycle Snazzy Snack

The students made an edible version of the butterfly life cycle. We used the Educreations app to label it. I found the butterfly at our local party store. I used candy pieces so they could put the head, thorax and abdomen on and then the wings.

Snazzy Snacks

Once a month our class has a snazzy snack. These snacks are designed to be a fun and healthy alternative to bringing junk food for snack. The students participate in making the snack and then write down the recipe. The recipe goes into our snazzy snacks recipe book and at the end of the year each student will have their own recipe book to take home. I will post each snack as we make it but here is our latest snack: Strawberry Banana Bagels
My sons teacher uses them as a birthday treat for all the students who have a birthday that month. The parents of the students who have a birthday that month are responsible for bringing the ingredients to make the snack. Such as great idea!
