After we sorted ee and ea words, the students made a sheep word sort mat.
They wrote ee words on the front and ea words on the back.
The students looked up ea and ee words in our weekly decodable story.
I gave each student an ea, ee card and an ea, ee flag. The students came up one at a time and read their word. The class had to decide if it was spelled with ee or ea and show it on their flag. This was a great quick assessment for me to see if they knew their spelling words or not.
