I found these great shape connection worksheets online to go with the book.
We got to know the shapes before sorting them by playing with them a little bit. I would say the cube is first, the cone is last, the circle is inbetween the square and the cone. In what place is the square? We played like this for a little while to get them comfortable with the shapes and then sorted them.
