Addition Practice:
Take a baggie and draw a line down the middle with a permanent marker. Add any type of manipulative you have. Move the manipulative and record the math sentence. Be sure to stress that the equal sign means the same as and can be on either side of the equation.
1+4=5
2+3=5
3+2=5
4+1=5
5+0=5
but it can also look like this:
5=5+0
