We learned a little about Henri Matisse and complimentary colors. We used the Pixie app to make a background with complimentary colors that looks like Matisse's cut paper. The app has a feature where they can splatter paint to create that look. We took a picture of each other in front of a green piece of paper and then used the Superimpose app to fuse the pictures and turn it into a silhouette. It sounds complicated but was very easy, the students were able to finish it in a 15 minute station with me.
Dryden Art Blog has a great tutorial on how to superimpose a picture.
