We folded and created the box before adding the rectangles on top. I cut the pieces to fit the edges prior to doing the project.
We learned about rectangles and quadrilaterals, while creating our boxes, which was also a rectangular prism.
The students got really excited thinking about what they were going to put in their box so we wrote about what they would put in their boxes.
