This is a fun 100 day activity my coworker shared with me. Read the following directions to the students. When they are finished, they turn the 100 chart sideways and can see a 100 Day Happy Face. This is a great activity for those students that are still struggling with number recognition as well.
Color the following numbers red: 18, 29, 40, 50, 60, 69, 78.
Color the following numbers black: 24, 25, 48, 64, 65.
Color the following numbers purple: 11-16, 21, 26, 31-36, 51-56, 61, 66, 71-76, 91-96.
Use words such as ten more, ten less, three more than 25, etc. to make it a little more tricky. It doesn't really matter as long as they end up on each number above.
Challenge your students to represent the number 100 in 100 different ways. Such as 50 + 50, writing the number word, etc. It might be easier to pair them up or work in small groups.100 Day Challenge
